FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What exactly is “Outdoor Housekeeping”?
A: It’s a new type of service that bridges the gap between landscaping and housekeeping. We focus on small, important upkeep tasks around your home — like poop scooping, tidying entryways, pulling weeds, clearing walkways, and light exterior cleaning, not large landscaping or indoor chores.
Q: Do you do landscaping, mowing, or large yard projects?
A: No. We don’t replace landscapers. We handle general upkeep only: immediate home areas, reachable height, and light seasonal tasks.
Q: Who does the work?
A: Just two people — a husband & wife team. We don’t send crews or strangers to your home. Every visit is done by our own hands, with the same care we’d give our own family’s yard. When you book Koby’s Cleanup, you get the owners every time.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes, we’re fully licensed and insured for your peace of mind.
Q: How often are recurring services?
A: In the fall and winter, we visit every other week (biweekly). Once spring arrives and upkeep needs increase, our scheduling will adjust to keep your home’s exterior looking its best.
Q: What’s the difference between recurring and one-time packages?
A: Recurring packages are best for ongoing upkeep and winter coverage. One-time packages are great for seasonal resets (fall cleanup, winter prep, or exterior refresh).
Q: Can I switch from one-time to recurring later?
A: Yes! Many customers try a one-time visit first, then upgrade to a recurring package once they see the value.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We currently service parts of Ashtabula and Lake Counties. Please check our service area map to see if we service your area.
Q: How much snow will you remove?
A: Each package includes snow removal up to its set depth (Basic up to 3", Standard up to 6", Premium up to 10"). We do not remove snow deeper than 10" in a single visit.
Q: What is “snowfall insurance”?
A: Snowfall insurance is an add-on for recurring customers. It extends your snow coverage beyond your package’s limit, giving you extra peace of mind during the heavy snow months. It’s billed as an additional monthly charge, and it will be included in your final package price. To keep things fair, it isn’t added to your bill until November, since snow usually doesn’t start flying until December.
Q: Do one-time packages include snow insurance?
A: No — one-time packages include snow removal up to 10" only.
Q: What happens if there’s a major storm?
A: Services may be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe or snowfall exceeds 10". If on recurring services, if we have to schedule more than two consecutive scheduled visits, the following month's billing will be adjusted accordingly.
Q: Do you do full driveway plowing?
A: No. We clear walkways, steps, entryways, and immediate home areas only.
Q: What do you do with pet waste, trash, or yard waste?
A:🐾 Pet waste is double-bagged and left in your bin.
🗑️ Litter/garbage is bagged and placed in your bin.
🍂 Yard waste (leaves, branches, etc.) is bagged in paper yard bags and left by your can or curb.
Q: Do you clean trash cans?
A: Yes. In fall, we scrub & sanitize. In winter, we deodorize & wipe lids.
Q: What are some examples of add-ons?
A: Weed pulling, small spot power washing, décor put-away, trash can care, grill/firepit cleaning, bird feeder refill, and more.
Q: Can add-ons be recurring too?
A: Yes. Add-ons can be one-time or set to repeat with your biweekly package.
Q: Can I request something not listed?
A: Yes. Select “other” on our form and describe the task. (Must be small, home-adjacent, and within scope — no ladders, no heavy equipment.)

Q: Do you require contracts?
A: No. Our recurring services are billed monthly, and one-time packages are scheduled per visit.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We send invoices securely through Stripe, which accepts all major credit and debit cards. Stripe also allows you to pay your bill using CashApp or direct bank transfer. Starting in the spring, we’ll be offering autopay (subscription billing) so you can set it and forget it — once the weather is more predictable and we don’t have to adjust billing dates due to storms or reschedules.
Q: Can I cancel service?
A: Yes. For recurring customers, please give at least 24 hour notice before your next visit.
🐶 Pets & Safety
Q: What about pet exit areas and meeting pets?
A: Honestly, meeting your pets is one of our favorite parts of the job — especially since we started as a scooping service. 🐾 We’re always happy to say hello! That said, we do recommend keeping pets secured indoors if they aren’t friendly with strangers. Our biggest concern is safety — making sure no pet slips out through an open door or gate during service.
Q: Is your salt safe for pets?
A: Yes — if you choose the pet-safe salt add-on, we only apply it at pet exit areas like porch steps and landings.
Q: Do you leave gates closed?
A: Always. We’re big sticklers about gates - every time we enter or leave, we make sure it’s shut securely behind us. If we go through a gate, we’ll even send you a photo of it closed for peace of mind. The last thing we’d ever want is for a pet to slip out. Your property will be exactly as you left it, only cleaner and safer.
👩💻 Booking & Communication
Q: How do I book?
A: Use our simple online form. Pick your package, choose add-ons, and select a date. We’ll confirm and send reminders.
Q: How will I know you came?
A: We’ll send a quick text/photo update after each visit so you know the job is done.
Q: What if I need to reschedule?
A: Contact us at least 24 hours before your visit and we’ll find the next available day.
Q: Will I know when you’re coming and when the job is done?
A: Yes! We’ll send you a text when we’re on our way and another when the work is complete. We’ll also include photos or notes from the visit.
Q: Can I get a specific appointment time?
A: We don’t schedule exact times. Instead, we operate like the garbage or lawn crew — working through routes that can change based on weather, traffic, or how long each job takes. This keeps things fair and efficient for all customers. You’ll still get a text update when we’re on our way, so you’re never left wondering.
